Hello everybody.........I think I haven't been around here for a couple of weeks. Things have been a little hectic at work and at home. Wish I could catch up with all the posts - stories and recipes.

I'm on my own now for any cooking, no more BF! Since I am really bad at it...... is there a crockpot recipe area here? Or a real simple cooking thread? The fast and easy kind?

I'm not going to leave you guys because I really like this bunch but I need to pick up some simple ideas so I can have some time to come lurk around here again.

Some of the gang here do use crocpots frequently. We don't use ours very much. What are some of you favorite foods? We cheat sometimes and get a rotisserie chicken from Publix. What we don't eat as chicken get's made into chicken salad. We also when close on time use coleslaw and carrot salad from Publix. Cooking for two is hard and for one is not going to be easy. Grilled cheese and soup in cool weather is a favorite at my house. I'll keep thinking on it. Meantime I need to thing about my own dinner. I did feed the kittties but I'm still not fed.

Dinner was kielbasa. kraut with onions/garlic, home fries, good seedy rye bread with butter, and beer.

Probably not nominated for any 'Healthy-Eating' Awards but C'est La Vie!

I join the rest of the chicken people tonight. Split chicken breasts stuffed with various fresh herbs from my herb garden, Zataran's spanish rice and corn. Cheesecake for desert, we are stuffed. Now it's time for the dishes, you just can't find good help. Have a wonderful night everyone, see you tomorrow.

tonight is a cheap meal night. kielbasa hash, biscuits, and an ear of corn each. sigh. sometimes I get tired of cheap, but c'est la vie. it's better to send my kids to be cheap and full than hungry.

Potato leek soup. Couldn't find leeks at any of my farmer's markets, so I had to get them from Whole Foods. Paired it up with a home made crusty tomato basil bread.

The dinner decision has been made in favor of burritos with a bottomless glass of green tea. Brownies for dessert on last night.

I've seen your picture. How do you stay so thin eating all that good food?

Tonight was clean out the fridge night. Sausage, ravioli, and acorn squash for me.
