That is still very good! I lose fast at the beginning and then it gets painfully slow......right now I am on a roll......I lost 15 pounds and its been about 3 weeks....but yesterday just 1/2 pound.....I maybe arriving at a plateau....but I have so much to lose....that it will take a long long time....and then to keep it off will be the challenge
Ah HAH!!!!!!! I knew she was setting me up!!! LOL....Little does she know I got my food posse!!!! I can handle horseradish in very small quantities. I am one of those who thinks the salsa in Mexican restaurants they serve gratis with the chips is hot!

You sound very committed to doing it, so you will! And, BTW, that is a very impressive loss in such a short time. You will slow down, but be proud of your progress! You are doing what I and so many others aren't!

Kats, I'm the same way!!! The slightest bit of spice and my eyes and nose start running.....hubby, on the other hand, likes his food SPICY HOT!!!
Funny because I enjoy hot but my DH cannot tolerate hot as in red peppers and most of the hot you find with the Mexican foods. It actually makes him ill but horseradish and wasabi--bring it on!! He eats horseradish with almost any meat sandwich. He said it's a different kind of hot.
I mix my soy with wasabi and make it a thick milky tan color.... I LOVE Wasabi.... Hubby can't do it like that.... it is so strong. I could dip everything in it..... MMM MMM Good!
It is snowing here.... little flakes... very random... but snow just the same.... I want soup......hot toasty warm soup....
I love horseradish! I just can only eat it in small quantities - like when I make seafood sauce for boiled shrimp - I have been known to "stump my toe" on the horseradish. Still ate it though! Just had to breathe heavy! LOL
I think if I ever do find a good sushi place, I am going to mix the wasabe with a lot of soy and try that way first. That seems to be the consensus 'round here!
As requested by lacey here is DH pulled pork recipe. We are not very fond of the vinagar based pulled pork so he came up with this and it is soooooo good.
5 Lb. Pork Butt w/bone
I t sea salt
1 t pepper
2 med. onions cut into wedges
6 cloves garlic minced
2 T Italian seasoning
2 T sesame seed oil
2 cans Root Beer
Trim fat from meat
Roll meat in salt, pepper and Italian seasoning
In a Dutch Oven on high heat put sesame seed oil in and brown meat on all sides
Drain off fat and add 2 cans Root Beer, onion, garlic and meat
Bring to a light boil and adjust heat to 200 degrees (we just put a thermometer in the liquid to find 200 degrees).
Cook for 6-7 hours or when you can remove the bone with no effort. Remove meat from Dutch Oven.
It's easiest if you pull the pork immediately when it is still hot! He uses two forks to pull the pork.
