I am proud of you Amber and hubby for all you do for Wil! You are good kids---stay that way!
I am so tired now from my day in the kitchen and hubby now says "so what's for dinner"? #@&*#%@---that's what is for dinner!! Guess I should figure out a quickie...last thing I feel like is standing in the kitchen for a minute longer! Maybe fish and french fries with tomatoes. That's easy enough I guess. I just want to go to bed and sleep at this point. But the peppers are all stuffed and frozen---all 15 of them.
I think, at that point, I might have said "Olive Garden"! Or whatever your favorite restaurant might be.

Anyway... I made the shrimp scampi (to die for, BTW), broccoli and cauliflower w/cheese sauce (yummy) and brown rice. Oh, baby. Oh, and a wonderful chardonnay. I think we may each have a dish of ice cream a little later.

Yeah, I felt like that too but the nearest restaurant is not near at all---we live pretty rural! Plus the weather is kinda crazy right now--lots of thunder and lightening but no rain here yet! I'm sure it's not far behind. Anyhow it's all over and done now--had the fish and FF. Now I just have to clean it up and that's simple too. Then this old body of mine is going to relax for the evening.

Had a big lunch at a place overlooking the lake - food wasn't great but we went for the view

Tonight maybe we'll just snack on some bread, cheese, olives and a glass of red wine. 10k run tomo evening so I have to 'carb up'!

Happy lo-o-ong weekend!

Well my plan for pizza got trumped. Wife got into a fridge clean out mode on me so we had to clean up some pulled pork BBQ. It was great on whole wheat biscuits. Sided it up with some of my favorite pickled beets. Have some fresh peaches for dessert. Pizza is on for tomorrow night now. Between a new med that makes me hungry non stop and all the food ideas here I'll be in the pickle jar if not careful.

Nothing wrong with the crock pot... Cold season means comfort food and BBQS! YEAH!

My hubby has known an older gentleman for some time and has adopted him as a father. He lives alone and in his age has lost his sight and most of his hearing. Anyhoo he lives where it can get quite cold. In his younger years he had a yard full of fire wood. Now that is not so much the case. My hub has a friend who owns a landscaping business and calls us everytime a tree is being cut down. They deliver the wood in our driveway. We load it in the truck and take it up to Will (about 2hr drive). We decided we will BBQ for the holiday weekend. Since Will thinks Sizzler is a fine steak house ha ha I am going to bring some top sorloins and shrimp. Bk potato butter sour cream chives. Going to cook the potatos tonight wrap in foil and heat up on the grill tomorrow. Steaks will be rubbed with seasoning. Shrimps in garlic and evoo. I am hungry now Sorry for the nonsense. I haven't posted lately but I have been keeping up with all the great food everyone is making.
H*A*P*P*Y H*O*L*I*D*A*Y*W*E*E*K*E*N*D*!!
The world needs more "nonsense" people like y'all!

Nothing... wasn't really hungry today I can't believe it... not a single urge to really eat... What is happening to me today? LOL Nobody in the house really wanted to eat much today... I must sound like a bad parent when I admit this... but we took the kids to a pretty late movie tonight... they were so psyched... of course I packed them snacks... a little popcorn, animal crackers, raisins, juice (it all gets too pricey w/ the kids to buy).... anyway... so we are standing in line to get the tickets and hubby looks at me and said... DID THEY EVER EAT DINNER? I know... bad mom... we were all so busy today and the kids ate breakfast and had a late lunch out with Hubby and then had an afternoon snack... hubby and I weren't hungry... but I DID ask the Kidos around 5ish if they wanted anything... only to be turned down... didn't really plan on the movie it was a spur of the moment thing... SO my kids ate popcorn and animal crackers for dinner... all washed down with a giant Juicy Juice...and raisins for dessert... they will survive... They are going to wake up starving...already planning on a diner outing for breakfast...that should make everyones morning 'Night All...
