Guess who's making meatballs again tonight?

Hubby HATES meatloaf but loves meatballs. He is unmoved when I tell him they both come from the same recipe.

That is too funny...my DH loves steak but shys away from steak tips and is like that with cashews he will only eat whole ones. Says they taste different. I tell him also that they are the same. He will eat my tips when I do my special marinade but won't touch them in a restaurant or elsewhere.

tonight will be shrimp and rice. I have some frozen shrimp kabobs to use up. Although I'll probably take them off the wooden dowels and just toss them in some wild rice.

I started Chantix today and my quit smoking date is next Friday. Doctor says quit smoking or be in the leg imobilizer and on crutches for life, so time to quit smoking.

It'll be interesting to see how my cooking changes, once I'm able to fully enjoy all the flavors of food again.

Good for you! I wish you the best of luck. I'm sure we can nag you about it if you wish to make sure you never light up again.

Best of luck to you, molochai. I did it...you can too.

We have a pizza from Costco that needs to be cooked up. I think it'll be dinner for tonight.

I don't know if you've ever had fish & chips from a traditional chippie but over the years I've taken a number of "I HATE fish" and "I don't eat fish" people to dinner, their first post-dinner response has usually been "When can we do it again?"

Happy Friday to all!!

Lamb curry tonight, possibly with cous cous, will decide on that later. Minty yogurt on the side, and some naan bread or pitta.

I was thinking of making paneer (Indian cheese) - it looks really easy - has anyone ever tried it??

Molochai - GOOD LUCK! You can do it.

I need to follow your footsteps here Molochai! Hubby quit nearly 6 months ago--2 packs daily. And here I still sit and smoke. I don't smoke a whole pack a day but it still seems like I can't bring myself to do it. I know I really HAVE to! I keep thinking there will be a good time---there is no such thing--the only good time is now. Maybe you will motivate me here....
