We are having game hens, wild rice and collard greens. I may also cook a couple of turnips, but I am trying to think of some way other than just boiling them.

I've got fresh squash, okra, & a freezer full of meat to work with. To busy today to grill. Most likely pork chops.

Grilled shrimp scampi and a huge, everything in it salad. I think there are a few bottles of Modelo floating around here for me and my husband tonight. The kids will be happy with strawberry milk.

Last night was Italian subs. Well, half a sub; the other half is for lunch today.

Tonight is a beans & rice bowl, unless I change my mind. This is a not infrequent occurrence.

It's May 30th and that means...30 cent night!!!! DH and I are headed to our social club for 30 cent beers, 30 cent shots, and 30 cent hot dogs, sloppy joes, and fries. It's a warm summer evening, so we'll walk there and back (and not have to worry about who'll be designated driver).

Maybe boring but definitely nutritious (and delicious), leftover roasted chicken in a salad with greens, sweet onions, sweet cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted walnut pieces, craisins, olive oil & fresh squeezed lemon juice. No more dinner envy for me, I'm happy with it!

Bon appétit kids!
