I had Palmetto Cheese and crackers. I had only heard of it recently. A little bit too "zippy" for me but it is a change from my own delicious pimento cheese I make regularly.
MONDAY: I'm putting on a huge crockpot of Italian sausage and meatballs with gravy right now. I'll be serving it with spaghetti topped with Romano and pecorino cheeses, salad, warm crusty bread with seasoned olive oil with a nice red wine.
Tonight I am keeping it simple, but tasty. We are having Fish and chips and a nice cold slaw salad. The weather here is warming up and fall is having trouble getting here. The next 5 days will be above 90 they tell us and dry. At least it will help our last few tomatoes get ripe.
Tonight a potato,celery,carrot,turnip,onion,parsnip soup with chicken breast dices. To drink lassi/lemon water. For dessert milk rice/rice pudding with plum compote.

Our tomatoes petered out last week, and DH pulled out the plants. Sad to see the end of tomato season!
Rainy, muggy day today. I'm making chicken and dumplings for dinner.
Gorgeous late summer day. Chicken salad with grapes and curry, red leaf lettuce, flat bread.
I am cheating:>) One batch focaccia bread makes four very flat tear apart breads. They freeze well and it takes just a few minutes on the grill to defrost them and have a crunchy fresh baked bread for two plus lunch.
