We are having pork shoulder with ramen noodles, bok choy and broccoli and fresh fruit. I want to keep it simple, daughter, granddaughters and I are canning salsa today and it is hotter than you know where here. btw: it will be the first canning experience for our older granddaughter; she is a nurse practitioner and always working when we can; the other one is a stay at home mom so she did help us earlier this summer. The secret is to get the canning pretty much done before we open the wine: well for 3 of us, the other girl doesn't drink. She is the smart one, or so she says. But give her time, I see signs of a breakthrough; not drinking wine hardly makes one a part of our family.

Sounds fun Nmnita. Me and my husband like to can salsa together but we break out the beers instead of wine. Its always a good time.

Tonight I am making shrimp scampi over angel hair. I am thinking a spinach salad but I might make different salad depending on what looks good at the farm stand.
