This is stupid. It's not fries that are specifically the problem. It's carbs in general.

I average once a month, or about once every 6 weeks really

In any event, I gave up trying to avoid delicious fatty foods pretty soon. Going of a heart attack at, say, 85 is a great way to go considering most of the alternatives. And as pointed out here - you do have to go. Weight, cholesterol and BP are good so I'm carrying on as normal.
I used to eat fries more than once a week. Thank you, 12-hour work days with no lunch break! I was ravenous getting off work and fast food was the dinner of choice.

Living is linked to a higher risk of death. That's life.

Considering literally everything gives you either cancero r type 2 diabetes I'm not really worried. Every member of the human race is going to have a slow painful death anyways, being dissolved alive from the inside out, so you might as well enjoy it. Eat up!

Fries are healthy and delicious when they are cooked and prepared right.

The problem isn't french fries, fried food or potatoes it's vegetable oil, canola oil and other cheap fats that most restaurants use to fry food in

We have an air fryer and it does make great fries but I have not used it for anything else and as far as
actual fried potatoes, no way I will ever cook them differently than I do now. Low and slow in oil with onions, butter, pepper, salt if necessary.
