The risk of death is 100%, whether or not you eat French fries.

I'm not sure I'd go that far... but I suspect that most people who taste fatty, sweet or salty food would call it tasty.

Indeed death is 100% certain. I don't think a few orders of fries every once in awhile is going to shorten my life span. And if it does, it will most likely before I end up bedridden and drooling all over myself in the nursing home.

The carbs will kill you quicker than the fat content.

My guess is this has nothing to do with eating french fries specifically and more to do with the overall eating and exercise habits of those who consume fried foods on a regular basis.

I eat A LOT of french fries and carbs. Unless I am eating out, I bake my fries. I really dislike overly greasy food.

But this study is not actually about eating fries, but eating FRIED food. Fried potatoes, however, typically have lots of fat and added salt. Fried food is typically soaked in fat.
My mom had colitis...IBS. She never fried anything. She would have been sick for days. About once a month we'd go to McDonalds and Mom, Dad and me would split a bag of fries. I dunked mine in my chocolate shake.

Consequently, I was 15 when my friend invited me for dinner and they served Kentucky Fried Chicken, I had no concept of it. Her family was hysterical when I stripped the skin and coating off the chicken. To me, chicken skin was something you didn't eat. But boy, that plain chicken was delicious.

The second piece they talked me into trying. It was okay.

Rarely we hit KFC. I still take a bite of the coating, then I peel it off. I can replicate the moistness of fried chicken by high heat roasting.

I can't say enough about these air fryers. I hope everyone tries them. They really are fantastic.
