What's for Dinner? 2018 Edition (burger, substitute, freezer, pizza)

We are expecting once again snow overnight....

Tonight masoor/channa daal/red and yellow lentil soup with chapatis,homemade yogurt,lime pickles,onion,tomato and cucumber slices. To drink lassi. For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.

Vegetable soup with potatoes and cubed ham, Foccaccia, some hot wings for SO.

I got tired of loosing "the good stuff" on Foccaccia as in Parmesan/herbs and started adding some to the dough - works!

Spaghetti & meatballs, and salad.

Left over Chinese take out. Left over Vegetable Lo-Mein and chicken with cashew nuts. DH having leftover beef lo-mein and an egg roll.

Turkey stroganoff with shallots and lots of cremini mushrooms, noodles, and green beans.

Looked in fridge and freezer and nothing spoke to me, so pulled out some leftovers from freezer.

Pork carnitas and I've got some mini fava beans I'll turned into a quasi refried bean.

Chicken enchiladas tomorrow night, so I can make the sauce today.

So far, nothing sounds good. If inspiration doesn’t percolate to the top soon, we’ll probably have frozen Orange Chicken with fried rice, and dumplings. Chocolate Halo Top ice cream.

I was hoping to have leftover cioppino for dinner but thanks to Mr. "Piggy" Praline and his uninvited dinner buddy, that won't be happening.

Instead, we will have grilled baby lamb chops with rosemary butter, colcannon potatoes, and grilled asparagus (and hopefully, no surprise guests).

BBQ Spareribs
Roasted new potatoes, carrots, and celery
Roasted Asparagus
Baked apples with maple syrup.


I am so happy to be eating at home again.
