I think poor DH has got that awful Flu and I ask for your prayers that poor Debsi won't be added to the list soon.
He wanted McDonald's hamburgers and some fries so that is what we had.
In the mean time, I get to sleep on the couch..
Ugh! I hope Mr. Debsi gets well soon! Positive thoughts your way to keep the flu at bay!
After scratching our heads at the grocery store this morning we finally decided on buffalo shrimp with blue cheese, celery and carrots. We are having soft pretzels with spicy mustard , we always have a plethora in our fridge, for dessert.
I love the recipe and how they turned out, but it was late and i didn't reduce the sauce and such. PLUS, the tortillas tasted really "doughy", and I did NOT like avocado and sour cream as a topping. Crispy jalapenos, thinly sliced cabbage and green onions worked.
Sooooo, I defatted the sauce this morning and will cook down the sauce tonight before dinner and will toast the tortillas on the stove before serving. Avocados can go on the rice.
It was a HUGE batch, so about half will find it's way into the freezer.

Fingers and tails are crossed. SO had it and shared most generously
Aren't men generous that way? We got the "official diagnosis" of type B flu. I'm experiencing some serious bad patient syndrome. A random sampling: "Where's the remote? Why didn't you...? why did you...? Don't you know I have a high fever? What's for dinner? Why did you give me so much food?"

Your dinners always sound so good. I wish I had somebody to cook for me and the bad patient tonight.
I had a ham & swiss, plus served some grocery store deli Chicken Tortilla soup with crumbled tortilla chips, whole chips & salsa. Texas grapefruit and cough syrup (for some) for dessert.
Homemade pizza with pepperoni, peppers, olives, mushrooms and scallions
Thanks to all the Domino's texts this afternoon for giving me the idea to make my own.
