Pork in the crock pot, I think I will make some kind of basil sauce to go with it. Cauliflower & carrots. Fresh berries for desert.

Leftover canned soup yesterday, prime rib today. Gotta alternate, ya know.

Seasoning was simple -- a rosemary-garlic blend and some thyme. The veggies were my usuals -- carrots, onions, zucchini, roma tomato slices, snow peas, and mushrooms -- and I added some avocado (just in time, as the $1.49 avocado was already bad in places ).

The prime rib was delicious but very very slightly overcooked (then again, I like it really rare). My meat probe apparently isn't working great -- it never registered above 110 and I usually take prime rib out at 120. At least I'll know for next time!! I may have the 2 remaining servings COLD (not a problem with prime rib! ) so as not to cook it any more.

Oh, for dessert, fresh blueberries, on sale this week -- just $2/pint! I am going to go back and buy more!!

I have been sick and can't taste anything, but I'm starving and for some reason Moo Goo Gai Pan sounds good. DH ate a late lunch and isn't hungry. So I may have Chinese takeout.

We are having some fresh raviolis with alfredo sauce and yellow tomato wedges and English cucumber. Limeade enhanced tap water.

Today is the birthday of my oldest....the big 12! He picked the restaurant as per our family tradition. We went here About Us – Volturno We had a meatball pizza,

A margherita pizza with capocola and kalamatas.

My stepdaughter did not want pizza so she had risotta with braised rabbit.

We started with a beet burrata with prosciutto.

And arancini that they ate so fast there was only one left when I looked over.

Dessert was strawberry goat cheese ice cream for the adults. Cotton candy frozen yogurt with sour patch kids for the kids.
I had a Rarefied Air by Fiddlehead Brewery.

Magic, I had prime rib for dinner tonight, so NORMALLY I would not be craving pizza an hour later ... but those pizzas look great! Can't believe I am hungry again!!
