Congratulations! This calls for celebration!

So glad she is doing so well and she is just getting into the really fun stage: of course every stage is fun if we keep a positive attitude but when our little ones start talking, showing their personality and start really getting inquisitive they are so much fun: a different or new adventure daily.

I'm thinking grilled pizza. Turkey pepperoni, canadian bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, olives and arugula.

DH is in the back grilling hamburgers and marinated chicken breasts. I have hamburger buns to toast, three pounds of asparagus, frozen crinkle cut French fries and Yukon gold potatoes to mash.

Maybe some of the asparagus can go into a tossed green salad but I plan to eat the most of them plain.

Later today I'll bake a banana bundt cake with an orange glaze. Then we'll be set for a while.

I'm getting excited about hunting for morel mushrooms and ramps if it ever starts to warm up. Ramps on the grill are pretty good.

I’m making the ham and peanut and vegetable fried rice to hopefully finish up that blasted ham. Today’s veg are carrot, celery, yellow pepper, snap peas, a few sliced Brussels sprouts, green onion, garlic, and ginger.
