I took some of my beef and mushroom stew (really a winter dish) out of the freezer, and it must be served with French bread to sop up the gravy. This will be Margot’s first time enjoying her mother and grandmother’s “famous” recipe.
I also made my pasta and peppers and Parmesan salad today, in case there weren’t enough carbs. This time I used orrechette and a mix of orange, yellow, and red baby peppers. The dressing is olive oil and white wine vinegar with a little sugar and basil and parsley from the garden plus garlic and salt and pepper to taste.
Green salad every day until it’s too hot for my lettuce. I’ve been putting basil leaves in the salad too.
Started with an ensalata Caprese, a.couple slices of garlic buttered toast, couple battered fish filets, glass of Sangria Moscato, and water on the side.
Dessert: Thinking of small slice of carrot cake, DH can have the bigger piece. Maybe a cup of hot tea.
Tonight's dinner in my opinion was Michelin Star Quality . Tandoori Lamb chops and Bombay potatoes , the lamb grilled by your's truely, the hard work done by the wife. Absolutely amazing. And my wife is amazing too.
Sous vide poached egg with spinach, bacon, garlic stir fry with crispy potatoes.
That's next on my list of possible kitchen purchases - do you find it worth it?
