Last night I picked up a rotisserie chicken on the way home from work, steamed some asparagus, and had some fruit for dessert

Relaxing and quiet day in our house today so I will have time to fix a good dinner or good as far as I am concerned. I brought a lot of salads home from lunch yesterday. Dinner will be Salmon, bean salad I brought home and asparagus. We still have some peach cobbler left from what our granddaughter made for us so spoiled brat will enjoy that for dessert Happy weekend to all

Another heatwave on the way for the next few days...

I had to think about Dawn today........

Tonight homemade pizza with Durum flour, tomato sauce, spices, onion, ginger, garlic, green Bell peppers, green olives and Canadian old cheddar cheese served with white/red radish/onion salad and cucumber/tomato/onion salad. To drink Löwenbräu. I made homemade peach, mango and strawberry ice cream, maybe a scoop of each.

My homemade ice cream.....
1 lb strawberries
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 juice of lemon or lime
2 heaped tbsp. of plain yogurt
1/2 cup whipped whipping cream
(you can substitute strawberries with other berries, peaches, mangoes)

Make sure the fruit you choose is frozen for at least an hour.Next put frozen fruit in food processor, pulse it,add sugar, pulse again, add juice of half a lemon (if you like add some rind for more intense flavor) and now pulse til smooth.
Add 2 heaped tbsp. of plain yogurt, pulse and finally add 1/2 a cup of whipped whipping cream and quickly pulse. Taste test for perfect aroma and if you happen to be in the mood add some liqueur or Schnapps..up to you how much you like to have in it
Transfer in a freezing container or in Popsicle holders and stick in the freezer.

Making a Bolognese sauce to serve with either Fettuccine or a wider noodle if I decide to go out and look for some. We're kind of low on vegetable options but I've got some cherry tomatoes, cabbage and bell peppers, so hopefully I can figure something out.
Happy Friday!

Thank you for the recipe, ALm ( out of reps ). Not sure yet about dinner, hubby wants fish & chips, but I feel that is too heavy for such a hot day, so we will see,

We had a rare take-out Chinese tonight.
Singapore noodles, rice and a couple of chicken dishes.
Maybe it's because we cook all our own meals but the amount of salt in the food made it virtually inedible.
