Haven't had Veal in years. When our remodeled Sams added a live butcher about 5 years ago they had Veal all the time, but not anymore. Of course their live butcher dept is no more now anyway, until the Virus settles down a bit and the country opens back up.
I went for a morning walk and it was rather cool outside and it made me realize in 47 days autumn begins.
I am making a vegetable chili with a variety of Bell peppers,tomatoes from my garden,bean medley and adding Guinness to it.Served with garlic buttered naan and for garnish on the chili a dollop of homemade plain yogurt and chopped cilantro from my garden.To drink lassi.For dessert sliced mangoes.
Tonight we are having chicken cacciatore over linguine per my father-in-law's request. I know he wants to return home but I kind of got used to having him here. I wish he would move to the USA but I know he has his life and friends in Italy. I am adding a Caesar salad and a toasted Italian loaf. They can have the rest of the butter cookies for dessert with ice cream.
Mr. Praline frowned into the refrigerator, groaned over the wine fridge, and has rushed out on a beer and wine run.
We made a Costco run this morning and got baby back ribs. Tonight we will have Korean ribs in the Instant Pot, honey ginger carrots and a cucumber salad.
I am so looking forward to this! I bought my first slicing tomato of the season, and tonight we are having BLTs with Swiss cheese fresh basil for supper.
