Bridge day so won't get home til almost dinner time: I will keep it simple: chicken fried steak, left over potato salad, sauteed squash and sliced tomatoes from the garden. I am about to pick about 6 more this morning as soon as it gets a little lighter. It is staying a bit darker in the mornings the last few days.
My attempt to keep it simple 2 nights ago exploded on me (literally). My grill ran out of propane as I was getting ready to put the steaks on, the potatoes weren't cooking in my Breville oven so after 45 minutes I put them in the microwave and one exploded all over the microwave. The Instant Pot was slow to heat to steam my broccoli so by the time we ate, I had a steak cooked a little more than I like it, a partial potato that had that rubbery nuked consistency and a perfectly steamed head of broccoli albeit a little late. So last night was takeout from a little Italian place. DH had Seafood Diavolo with shrimp, scallops, clams and mussels and I had a Greek pizza. It was wonderful!
I think I'm going to have to replace my Breville. I've been having a lot of inconsistency on the bake setting.
