So I'll give it a go making it myself.

For dinner tonight here ... leftover Linguine with my Tuna and Sardine sauce. I know, I know, sardines! but it's really yummy for those of us who loves sardines. Canned tuna & sardines, sundried tomatoes, black olives, capers, lemon zest & juice, white wine, garlic, fresh basil. A quick and easy sauce.
Make sure to put juniper berries in the rotkohl and rouladen gravy!

Didn't feel good yesterday so I actually went to bed about 3pm and slept off and on until 5 this morning, leaving spoiled brat to fin for himself last night. That leaves us with our crab legs for tonight. hope I can really enjoy them cause I should be hungry be dinner time.

last night ended up being a couple of bowls of vegetable soup and some crusty bread, with apples for dessert.

Tonight, I've got a pork chop that needs to be cooked, so I'll make a marinade out of some leftover tzatziki for that and cook in in the air fryer and toss a salad.

I cooked about 80 meals & froze them for my mum. She doesn't like to cook & at her age, appreciates the microwave.

So, even though I generally shun frozen food, I'll probably have one of those (pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes w/gravy & vegs) or I'll have a small piece of steak with 3-4 egg yolks. I'm not currently picky... was on the road for a couple of weeks, so any "real" food is sheer joy.

Happy Columbus Day!

DH invited me for a drive to enjoy the leaves and dinner at Suzette's in Jordan, MN. I see the restaurant is closed on Mondays and possibly Tuesdays. Will have to check their Fall schedule.

With the breeze we have today I don't think our leaves will be very lush by Wednesday. But i thought I'd post the restaurant and menu for you to have a peek. It's a bit unusual for southern Minnesota and definitely an experience eating there. A menu of over-the-top extravaganzas straight from Jackie Kennedy's days in the White House. "They" tell me a lot of doctors from Mayo drive there to eat.

suzette's Restaurant - Home

I'm having fun with outdoor Halloween decorations and there's some some fresh homemade tomato basil soup we can eat for today.

I saw the menu but almost everything has garlic mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables as a side. seems like there is not much variety. some dishes also have the same sauces. although I am sure the food is tasty.
