Temperature is dropping with the arrival of a cold front. Going from mid 70's to mid 40's! That calls for gumbo - DH is in the kitchen working his magic. Not only do I get his wonderful gumbo, but I get a night off from cooking.

Don't have the snow, but it is cold enough to have it. Ribs on on board for dinner, along with rice and probably broccoli. Of course no way can we smoke the ribs so I thought of doing them in the oven like I did before the days of smokers in everyone's yard and now I decided: nope, going to do them like mom used to; on the stove like a boiled dinner but I will put them in the insta pot.

Tonight we are having spaghetti with meatballs and pork neck bones in a chunky red sauce; a Caesar salad; garlic bread sticks; and a bottle of Merlot.
