We were out doing some shopping. Then decided that our quick meal was going to involve a run to the border
Like that cravings pack. What we don't finish, we save for the 2 days after.

Dessert: 2 Lindt dark chocolates.

My friend sent me Delicata squash from Ohio. I guess it’s the latest, greatest thing up there. It’s a winter squash with skin that’s tender enough to eat. I’ll be roasting it with olive oil, with lamb chops, and potatoes.

I’ll try saving the seeds, too.

I'm beginning a green juice "fast" today for as long as I can manage... 7-days is suggested for feeling optimal, more energy, possibly a lessening of asthma symptoms, etc. Sleep deprivation for 4-mos has left me feeling grim & irritable, so I feel as if I could use a good jolt of vitamins (& possibly, a boot in the butt, too).

And, cooking for mum has gotten exhausting, so I've now got 90+ homemade meals, all now frozen, for her to choose from & we're both all set for my last week in NEPA.

Not wild about kale, especially mixed with green apples... both things on the bottom of "what are the last things you'd dare eat in a food shortage Armageddon" list, but c'est la vie. I'll post back after my green fast has ended.

Until then, Happy Halloween to all & for those of us in the hurricane or wild fires' path, stay safe.
