Going out for our 30th anniversary, so I will decide once I sit down. Right now, my top 2 choices off the menu are sole almondine or the Friday Prime rib special.

Mr.Winter has knocked on the door and left a sample of snow flurries.Do I like them? Not yet, prefer them towards the end of November.

Tonight just a simple Fryday dinner.I will make pancake soup/Flädlesuppe and for dessert baked apple with rum, raisins, cinnamon and warm vanilla sauce.Later by the fireplace a mug of Glühwein while playing some Canasta.

Have a peaceful weekend and I see you in November

I've been busy in the kitchen today. I made a hearty beef stew with potatoes, carrots, onion, mushroom and green beans, Stuffed jumbo shells with spinach and ricotta and topped with a meat sauce (I cheated and used Rao's marinara), arroz con pollo with peas, some sausage potato mixture for breakfast tacos and a loaf of quinoa flax bread but I haven't started dinner tonight. Those meals are for the next 3 nights - 2 at the coast and one for when we get home. Tonight is sous vide sirloin steak, baked Yukon gold potato and steamed broccoli. I'm pooped!

Tonight we are having chicken wings in a cacciatore sauce over egg noodles; garlic rolls; a garden salad with choice of dressings; a bottle of Dom (for me) and beer for the menfolk. Lemon bars for dessert.

I went on a dinner date with my husband tonight, no kids!! We tried a new to us restaurant. We have lived in this neighborhood for three years and have heard nothing but praise about this place. https://www.joeysbarandgrill.com/ Not sure why we have never got around to trying it until now because it was really great. We started with lobster rangoons. I had halibut, the husband had blackened swordfish. I brought home a slice of gingerbread cake. I am stufed so that might end up being my breakfast!
