You're missing out. Seriously. Stone ground grits are the best, IMHO. I like Parmesan cheese in them with lots of butter. YUM!

I like them plain with butter, salt and pepper. Each additional ingredient is a subtraction in my book.

Same here Serve them with eggs and sausage. Then drag each bite through the grits. Avoid instant grits but go with Quaker Quick Grits if you want easy. The instant ones are pretty bad.

making Bolognese sauce with tomatoes and herbs out of the garden, serving it over whole wheat pasta, serving with a side of sauteed spinach with garlic and olive, the spinach is also out of the garden.

speaking of grits,

tonight I am cooking quail & gravy, with grits, and collard greens.

you just toss the quail in a covered, oven-safe pot, sprinkle a little flour over them, cover, and cook. upon eating, you have to make sure you mix in that quail gravy with the grits.

the collard greens are leftovers. the grits are "old fashioned", but not stone-ground, and will have a touch of camembert cheese instead of butter.

What's for dinner tonight? Wish I knew! Didn't make it to the store what with being sick, but feeling a lot better today. I hope it's not time to play can I make it until Saturday without going to Kroger again.
