I took matters into my own hands and thawed some burger patties. I'm having a jalapeno/cheddar cheeseburger with I hope some home fries to go with the ketchup.

I am laughing out loud! Is being from CA a Yankee? Grits just look like cream of wheat but I'm sure there is a reason nobody eats grits like cream of wheat. I have much to learn living in the South now! Still missing my tri-tip roast here though...sigh...but lovin' sweet tea!

Cyn, if you're a Yankee I'm a Yankee too. I think grits are best savory not sweet though.

Last night had a bowl of cream of cauliflower soup. (no real cream added )

Tonight will be either grilled or baked chicken legs, brown rice, and a salad and/or green vegetable.
