Tropical hibiscus finally in full, glorious, orange flower...
I severely pruned and transplanted my orange hibiscus last week to make way for a fence. I hope it likes it’s new location. The soft, yellow blooms of its cousin, FL native cotton, will have to do for a while.
I think I posted this century plant when it first started to flower. Here it was in flower. Since then they toppled over and have been cut down. You can see the leaves were starting to die.

Just the Shasta daisies. The Clethra will be late this year because of the long, cool, cloudy spring.
Speaking of which! My pink one is blooming. I've had it for about 7 years, and it is 5 feet tall. But it either reseeded or suckered and made white-flowered babies. I'm transplanting them to the woods, and they seem taller and more vigorous. Joe pye, echinacea and the other flowers, and my new baby abelia are blooming.
This is from New Rochelle, NY near the water 3 days ago. (A suburb of NYC about 30 minutes from there)
