I was able to get about 50 beautiful Dell computer boxes and about 40 miscellaneous other boxes from a friend who collected them from where we work for his own move, and apparently he overdid the collecting, because these were the leftovers he had after using what he needed! I'm so grateful!

Nice hit BlueCat!

Have fun, Kab0. Most folks say doing them is a PITA. Do you still have a lot of stuff?

I went back to the old house today for the first time after the movers came the second time. There is STILL a lot of crap...er stuff that wasn't even packed up. Those guys we hired didn't complete the job we hired them to do. So now we are going to have to go over there and spend a couple of days finishing up the packing and then try to find someone with a truck to get it over here. At least they got the BIG stuff. Getting this house in order has to be put on hold so we can finish up the other house and get that on the market as soon as possible. I hope we can do everything within a month.

Well, I finally found a supply of free boxes, LOL. My friend owns a plumbing supply place and is having her guys save all the boxes for me. Lots of different sizes to pick from so that's nice, as I have some unusually shaped objects. Trying in general to keep them all around the same smallish size for most stuff, though.

We sold our house and the closing date is June 30, the inspection this Sunday. Hoping all goes well with that and the appraisal. It sold a little on the high side so there is a bit of uncertainty over whether the appraisal will come in at the right price.

After we moved into our apartment a few weeks ago, we put our moving boxes, including assembled wardrobe boxes, outside by the front door. The boxes were gone that night and we didn't even advertise!! Lots of folks must be moving now.

I got a LOT done today. Packed and sorted out 4 boxes worth of stuff, and found a bunch more to donate.

Also, I had posted a want-ad on Craigslist for boxes and packing materials, and someone sent me a message today. Picked up some great boxes and lots of bubble wrap. FREE!

Lastly, my husband firmed up his new position, so it is a definite that we're moving in 4-5 weeks. YAY!

My life is an ever shrinking vortex of stuff. For every cabinet I empty, a few items are shoved in the still-being-used spaces of the house!

13 more days until the moving truck arrives...

Not really.

This sale is to get rid of the furniture we don't want to take, along with some stuff from the garage that didn't make it in our last sale.
