Nearly every time I notice an old Philly thread that’s bumped, it turns out to be you. In this case, the last time this thread was active was 2013. It’s of course you right to do so. But I’m just curious: Why is a Nutmegger like you so fascinated with Philly? In many (most?) instances, you first claim you love Philly, then make disparaging comments. What gives? Just bored?
I’ve asked you this a handful of times before, but you haven’t answered. It’s not that I care what you think. I’m just curious about human nature.

And just skipped over Dallas, Austin, Nashville, Miami, Atlanta, and DC...to focus on Phily? Nah it's GOTTA be personal. Why would someone from one overshadowed/under-the-radar top 10 city make the other overshadowed/under-the-radar top 10 city the object of his ire?
Let's be honest, Boston is a higher tier city than Phily. Only three cities in east coast is among top tier: DC, NYC and Boston.
By the way, Boston city is small city on population, Harvard legally is not in Boston. but Boston metro is huge. My impression is that Boston Metro population is more than 1/3 of NYC, may be closer to 1/2 and growing fast.
Aggregate wages are higher in the Boston MSA than Philly, $51.9B in Q3'19 vs. $43.1B.
Boston gets far more VC and has more int'l travel when there is travel.
Historically, being a seaport meant Boston pulled in more outsiders, and had higher imports and immigration.
