Nashville has a micro-brewery called Yazoo that has some GREAT stuff! My personal favorite brands are Flying Dog or Left Hand. Of course, beer-flavored water (Miller, Bud, et al.) are still popular here.
blue moon is definitely a coors product (as is killians and a bunch of others)
jzer - the flying dog brewery in denver is a lot of fun - they don't skimp on samples by any means - also, it's attached to a really good whiskey distillery ..... check it out if you ever have the chance, real easy to get to
phx is pretty much AB territory with bud/bud light leading the way
you also get the whole range of mexican beers
however, options out here are limited for the most part - there are some good local micros (love kiltlifter) and there are a couple of growing beer fests in the metro ...... i hope the diversification continues
Four Peaks - Kiltlifter
Mexican Beer - Tecate, Pacifico, Sol, Dos Equis
Cheap Beer - Keystone Light
Mmmmmmmm, 4 Peaks....
We spent a delightful August afternoon at the Four Peaks brewpub a few years ago, sitting in the shade under those mister-things drinking their excellent brews! My sister in law lived in Tempe, just a mile or two from 4 Peaks. Still have my souvenier glass, which I drink from every day!
Does Four Peaks sell their beers outside of their brewpub?
In Rochester you'll find Genny and Labatts at any hole in the wall bar. I'm starting to see lots of brooklyn beers pop up at hole in the wall bars too.
Love that Genny Cream Ale! I can find it here in the Twin Cities, occaisionally.
Just moved away from Carroll Co. All my neighbors drank Coors lite. It's the only place I ever saw such devotion to a single brand. It was really weird.
Coors light taste like water. I don't like it at all! My faves are all of Sam Adams beer except for the cranberry one! Yuck! Guiness is also great! I like most beer. It doen't really matter as long as it tastes like beer and isn't watered down like most of the light beers.
Local brewpubs here in Mpls/St Paul that sell their stuff in bottles are Summit and Surly. Both put out some great stuff. I am particularly fond of Summit ESB.
The local cheap label is Pig's Eye. Used to be brewed here in St Paul, but now brewed under contract in LaCrosse, WI. Their dark isn't half bad for the price.
