I searched the threads to see if there was a post that could tell me but I didn't one.
So I was wondering, what kind of beer is popular where your from?
In MN for the early 20's crowd its Michcelob Golden Draft light
Older crowd its Busch or Budweiser
And Coors light is starting to be a real popular choice (my choice)
It's pi**, just like every other american mass produced beer, but there's nothing like going into an old, upstate tavern where the late shift would come in, cash their checks right then & there, and throw a couple quarters on the bar for a genny.
My personal favorite-Ommegang- a belgian brew made at a belgian brewery in Cooperstown.
At my neighborhood waterin' hole most of the yocals seem to go for the weaker pee-pee beers like Budd Light, Coors Light, Miller Lite (Miller Lite's okay) and Lone Star. Shiner Bock, which ain't half bad, is also a pretty big seller. I always have Newcastle.
For some reason, Yuengling is very popular down here in Huntsville, AL. We also have our own brewery Old Towne here in town that is pretty good and popular in the area. Sadly, the dowtown brewery burned down over the summer, but they are reopening at a new location.

When I've been to DFW, it seems like Shiner and Flat Tire are everywhere.
for beer to take home in summer--------Old Milwaukee
on the rare times I order one in a bar---------anything that doesn't say "light"
