Lol. 9 storeys is an office "tower"?? Maybe for Greensboro. Or maybe in 1917, not 2017!

Its taller than the one being planned next to BB&T Park in Winston and more architecturally apealing I might add. and dont forget about the 20 story building on top of an 8 story parking deck with an Aloft Hotel being built across the street.

This building has 9 floors but its pretty tall for a 9 story building. It has the height of an 11 or 12 story building and appears even taller from the lower seating bowl within the stadium so yeah Id say its a tower as it is being called in the local media. One of those cranes DGI president Zack Matheny talked about will be going up before the year is over.

This is a pretty nice looking building! It looks like it will probably be around as tall as the old US Trust Center (I forget what it's called now) over by the new PAC.

There will be a moment, some time in the near future, where I wont even recognize that area of downtown.

It's going to be dense and apparently there are other projects in the ballpark area we don't even know about and has not been publicly disclosed yet and that's not including Roy Carroll's planned skyscraper across the street. The development around the ballpark has even surprised me. This office project seem to just come out of left field no pun intended. I really do hope the rumors about the Skyhouse apartment tower are true. If that happens, downtown will be on another whole level. The kind of development we are seeing is really long over due.

That's a bold design for the triad, I like it, reminds of what I saw in DC on my visit. Nice that there is going to be a 28 story tower beside it.

I hope they make a restaurant on the bottom floor and a bar on the top floor.

I really think a YardHouse or something like that would do well in that location. The nearest one of those right now is in Raleigh. Get a brew and burger and then take in a ballgame.. sounds like a great Saturday night.

I wonder if (FNB) First National Bank will lease a significant amount of office space in this building. It's interesting that this announcement comes on the heels of the FNB tower announcement in downtown Raleigh. It would make sense for FNB to have a downtown office location in a ballpark named after itself.

Yard House sounds like a good idea. I would imagine there will some kind of restaurant or brewery on the ground level.
