I usually frequent supermarket delicatessens for chicken and sides. They are usually fresher and inexpensive.

Publix #874 does not have a sit-down dining area.

CK... You normally have your finger on the pulse.. You seen any movement on 9032 Hwy 14 in Gray Court? The former Walmart Express/Neighborhood Market?

I saw some trucks out there about 2 weeks ago, looked like they were possibly removing equipment.. I noticed driving by this morning that the For Sale sign appeared to be gone.. You seen any indication that the property has been purchased?

I have not been through Gray Court in two years.

I thought you stayed plugged in on the comings/goings of property transfers.. Thought you might have seen something about that.. not whether you had actually seen the property.

I do follow notable property transfers and developments. I have not come across any lately in Laurens County. If I do, I will post anything relevant to the Laurens County area in the "South Carolina" forum.

Ive heard several rumors about the building - Dollar General has purchased the building and will be moving into it, 711 has purchased the property and is going to put in more pumps and have a deli in the back, WalMart reconsidered and is reopening, but the biggest one is QT had purchased both the building and the land beside it and will be tearing down the old building and rebuilding there. I can see the DG possibly moving there. I have heard QT had looked at property down next to ZF, where the pine trees are at the turn to get onto 385 from town.

I expected the building to stay vacant for years and years.. And.. It may still.. But, the fact that the sale sign is gone lends some hope that something might happen with it soon.

i don't think this will break anybody's heart but the River Rock Pizza place next to the Spinx at the Haywood/Pelham intersection appears to have closed. It used to be a branch of Pebble Creek Pizza.

For what it's worth, Parcel 905-02-02-037, formerly GCO Motors, is still owned by Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust, according to the Laurens County GIS map (Laurens County GIS). If the parcel has changed hands recently, that information hasn't made it into the database.

It often takes several weeks, even months before Laurens County updates their online information. Heck, the rental house we sold in last year is still shown in our name.
