I always kinda wondered how that place stayed open all year.. not a great location, especially after the interstate changes there in 94 or so. Not like it was right across the border and everyone came from another state.
Mrs. Firecracker's still did business after Interstate 85 was widened to six lanes in 1998 and South Pleasantburg Drive was extended and realigned to Augusta Road.
I saw where Fireworks are banned in the City of Spartanburg. Wonder why they haven't been in Greenville which is even more heavy populated? I recall an Apartment complex even catching fire because of them on S Pleasantburg years back when a bottle rocket landed on a balcony. I really don't care for them in my neighborhood with the houses being so close together.
Taking into consideration the dry years South Carolina has had and increased risks for brush fires, fireworks should be restricted in the state. The industry brings in business.

Still did business.. But the location wasn't quite as 'prime' as it was back then.
Looked at their FB page again, and they said they'd 'definitely' be open in a new location by the 4th of July.. But that was back in December and nothing since then.
Bangkok Thai Cuisine closed on May 21st. Forced out by school / landlord. Relocating to Haywood Rd between Conn's and Redwing. I think that's the old Kannika's Thai Kitchen location.

Renovations underway.
This is fantastic news - BT is the best thai restaurant in the Upstate - I would make a trip down Pelham just to eat there (hated that drive LOL) - now, they will be 5 min from my house

Golden Chick on Pleasantburg is closed. That doesn't surprise me much.. I always thought that was a bad location for several reasons.. One of the main ones being.. Too close to the existing location on Pelham.
Not sure exactly when they closed, but within the past 2 weeks.
