Hopefully. Or.. Someone reads this forum and smacked someone's fingers for posting it..

Time shall tell. I go there two or three times a year. The boy absolutely loves it and would have me take him there every Saturday during the summer. I have to admit, I enjoy it.. Mainly for the fried bananas.

Not 100% sure on this, but looks like JPeters in Fountain Inn may be closed for a while, or maybe the business beside them. Firetrucks in front of the building and ladders going up to the roof this morning.

Not a big deal. They are already back open.

I always drive by the one in Hodges on the way to Greenville up 25. It's always dead. Not sure how it stayed open for so long. It's been there at least 10-12 years.

Yea they built a Dollar General right across from it which probably took the little business they had. There is one on 25 on the Augusta side of Greenwood as well which I guess is staying open.

Fred's has been unsuccessful as a dollar store against Dollar General, Dollar Tree and Family Dollar and as a drugstore against CVS and Walgreen's. It does not have any store locations in Greenville County.

I love Dollar Tree. Everything is really a dollar. At Fred's things cost more but are not necessarily quality items.

Dollar General has aggressively built a LOT of stores in the last few years. They seem to pick out areas to sparsely populated for a Walmart. I do think their stores are generally some of the ugliest retail buildings, though. Boring beige metal building with garish yellow signs and little, if any landscaping.
