385 NB Update:
+ Drivers need to expect 385 NB lane closures, as well as closing the Woodruff Road ramp to I-385 NB this weekend.
+ 385 NB will not be detoured. The shifts will occur by using various lane closures to manage the changing traffic patterns with traffic using a single lane during the various phases.
+ Ramps for I-85 from 385 NB will change slightly as a result of this shift.
+ Woodruff Road access to 385 NB and I-85 ramps at I-385 will be detoured for the duration of traffic shift.
+ Access to Exit 35 (Woodruff Road) will be detoured in the early morning hours on Sunday and should reopen later in the day.
+ All shifts are scheduled to be completed by Monday morning, November 5.
I don't travel I-385 in the morning for work, but was curious, did reopening the middle lanes improve traffic flow this morning? Looked like it could be a little confusing at first with the change, but hopefully it did.
Can anyone update me on how far along this whole project is? What’s the projected completion date? I’ve been meaning to drive up there to check out the progress. I’m sure it has to be pretty impressive. Excited to see what it looks like in the end.

Really? It is more impressive than 26/77 interchange, and there is still quite a bit of work left. It is the 2nd most expensive road project in South Carolina. None of those others have flyovers. This does.
Here is a link to a pic of that interchange. It has always seemed like the most complex in the state to me. Looks like 385/85 will be slightly more complex but not by a lot. I don't see a good shot of 385/185, that one is pretty complex for SC standards. Either way, I'm sure the new 20/26 will become the most impressive.
