Yes - it definitely has a distressed look from the rundown factory building. It goes with the starving artist theme. Fortunately the mill vicinity normally doesn't attract questionable characters - a normal level of vigilance should suffice.
Some see the Taylors Mill area as sketchy. I find it beautiful. Signage is coming as soon as the county co-operates. By the way, some find the arts district in West Greenville sketchy too. Again, I find that area beautiful. I'll that an area like that anytime over an area like Thornblade. I guess I am weird in that way, and proud of it! It has life. It has rhythm. It has personality.

With the redevelopment around Taylors Mill proceeding, I will find it hard to perceive that immediate area as sketchy. I hope efforts will be underway for a new Bridge Road bridge to restore connectivity on both sides of the Enoree River.
If you are looking for a sketchy area in Taylors, consider Spring Grove, formerly known as Oakview, on Boiling Road.
lol, u don't want to go get a coffee at a old factory building back up in the woods?
The pictures look so rundown, the place doesn't appear to have been renovated at all.
