Thanks G-Man. Things are growing. I had 3+acres at 1 time further down for less & it was taken off the market. Looks like prices are rising.

There is a significant difference between "your" and "you are." How do I hope you get "you are" wish?

Oops, thanks for the correction there Carolina Knight.

This came from The Powdersville Community group on a Facebook. Hope it's reliable.
QuikTrip is confirmed to be in a location far away from Interstate 85.

It looks like we a supermarket in the planning at SC-81 and SC-86. The size is in line with Publix.

Speaking of supermarkets, Ingle's store 73 should not be far behind on its rebuild.

No, Ingle's store 73 is Powdersville. Ingle's store 42 is Mauldin.

I don't keep up with this thread, so I don't know if The Whistle Stop on Main Street in Travelers Rest has been mentioned. I stopped in for lunch the other day. Great decor, and a friendly wait staff. The burger I had was average, I guess. Reviews are mixed, especially at dinner. A lot of people seemed to be underwhelmed by the food. I'll try it a few more times.

The Village at Pelham and the immediate area can use some retail. I would not gloat over Dollar General opening, but it will serve a limited need.

A supermarket that is not Food Lion would work.

They need to put another supermarket in that old Bloom/Food Lion location on Hwy. 14. Perhaps a Publix or Ingles or something. And I thought that Village at Pelham was supposed to be sort of an upscale town center type of outdoor mall. And all they are getting is a Dollar General?

I here you. Not a fan of those pre-fab metal beige and brown boxes that Dollar General throws up. Uggly! How many of those things do we need. I noticed one going up on Poinsett Hwy too where that old Chinese restaurant used to be.
