I know that this has nothing to do with if Hawai'i is liberal or not etc, but i have kind of gone on this Hawai'i is the first to do etc. So here is an interesting but not shocking.
We are pretty lucky on gas prices as we are so isolated. Our gas prices are the same in Honolulu as Chicago right now. Fortunately we don't have to deal with summer versus winter blend transitions which often impact California and spike their prices.
Thats a mugging, anyone call 911? To pay almost an hr of work for a gallon of gas is lolo!
Ya if one of the reason Hawai'i is so expensive is that the wages haven't caught up with cost of living? And i assume what jobs are more available are min wage paying jobs? Then someone is being greedy and taking advantage of you.

Despite the minimum wage rate seeming to be low - there are very few jobs available for that amount.
Employers tend to pay more as they can't get people to work otherwise. The market has taken care of that.

Good to know then. Because i always thought that the reason for why Hawai'i was so expensive was because of what i said earlier.
