If only they would double - no, triple! - their toilet paper orders!
Kroger's here (in central KY) was not only out of TP but also out of paper napkins. Apparently some are using them in lieu of TP. Need to check my home for extra paper napkins from the two social events I host each year.
Christmas napkins may look a bit odd in the bathroom in early spring, but may soon be the only choice!
Are you prepared to deal with with sewage backups when the system has had enough of those nonflushable "Christmas" toilet paper substitutes?
DH just came back from a huge event, he was with thousands of people for 5 days.
I am immunocompromised due to meds, so we are at opposite ends of the house. He has his own bedroom/bath. Most of the day he does outside stuff, and I do inside stuff.
We stocked up about 3 weeks ago, so we have enough food and stuff for a few months. Until we are sure he didn't catch anything we are staying in.
Washing hands more, rotating towels and sponges more, spray cleaner bleach the kitchen once a day. I prepare all food for meals.
If we need to replenish fruits and veggies we will do curb side pickup, but that won't be for a few weeks.
I never bought extra toilet paper, we get it at costco and we are only 2 people.

My friends are huggers, but we didn’t even touch when we were together a few days ago. People are hoarding tp and hand sanitizer. Every event has been cancelled.
I have asthma and get sick easily and for a long time. Husband is very healthy (we’re in our 70’s) and he’s concerned about catching it and passing it to me. He’s been doing the shopping.
Yesterday we heard that our church won’t hold Lenten (Wednesday) or Sunday services—they will be recorded for viewing.

We decided today to not use grocery stores in person anymore, will order online only.
Life is officially getting weird.
Not sure ordering online will help. People are going to be handling the goods for shipment or delivery. And the delivery carrier is going to be handling the packages. Might be okay if everyone is wearing latex gloves as a preventative measure. The problem is that you don't really know who's infected and who's not? Reminds me of the movie, The Thing. Ironically, I've been watching a highly rated YT walkthrough video of a game called The Last of Us. It involves a pandemic infection that's become global. There's something about it that seems familiar......
Let's see. I, myself, will be working from home for the foreseeable future.
My company - 27,000 people worldwide, with about 17,000 being knowledge workers - is converting itself into a work-from-home stance pretty much overnight, and I can tell you that it has been really great fun for us IT people, particularly us unfortunate souls in networking. Lots of midnight oil being burned.
I am ditching all unnecessary events - even sailing, which is a major sacrifice. Go out to walk dogs, get supplies. Apart from that, hanging in and trying to catch up on sleep, for now.
Now that the epidemiologists have laid out exactly what's going on and why flattening the curve is so important, we are staying inside
Exceptions are grocery shopping and visiting my 90 plus mother-in-law
This is ramping up rapidly
