We sold a condo with stainless steel stove and microwave but we had a creme colored refrigerator. I think it all depend on how much the house costs and whether you plan to take fridge with you. If you are going to move with the fridge, just let the buyers know that you will take it and they can match the new fridge to rest of the appliances if they want.
We moved our fridge with us, seems a waste of money in these hard times to toss out a good appliance, especially one that is not old. As my grandmother used to say, "Used it up, Make it do or Do without". You could simply state the the fridge will not stay unless you have an expendive house to sell.
I think they should match... I also think the smooth white fridges look MUCH better than the textured white. f you like white in general you could go that route, the smooth ones seem less cheap looking and more like an intentional design choice. If you do go with stainless, it would look less out of place if you have stainless accessories/accents.
Here's a question - what's the opinion on going certain pieces one brand, and other pieces something else? Like, Electrolux cooktop, dishwasher, oven, microwave, and GE Profile fridge (since Electrolux doesn't make bottom-freezer french door)? All would be stainless.
Why would mixing brands be an issue? As long as the danged thing works, that's all I care about.
That's what I figured, lol. Was just curious if people thought it was strange.
