We have had the same Keurig for 3 years now and it still makes the same amount \in a cup it always has. We also havea Bunn, but it sits in the cabinet until we have a lot of people over.

https://www.google.com/webhp?sourcei...46201)&es_th=1 We have been happy with this one for about a year. Also like the brew strength and keep warm temp options. I appreciate the removable water reservoir for filling.

Like others here, we use a drip coffeemaker for everyday use. This 10-cup (50 oz.) Proctor Silex is a gem for those who want something simple:

Proctor Silex 10Cup Coffeemaker Black 48351 - Best Buy

I needed one in June for our cottage this past summer, and came across this for 12 bucks at Family Dollar. DH liked it so much (he said it's a "handsome" unit lol), I had to get another one. My SIL was impressed, too, so I picked up one for her last week (FD only carries the black, but that's what we wanted, anyway).

When I took a couple of train trips, I knew I'd pay way too much for my fill of hot coffee. I got the Folgers coffee bags. They make a flavorful cup, no grounds and as light or dark as you want. They gave me the hot water for free. Since then they've become my 'travel' standby. (Wish I could find them in Black Silk)

But I only make coffee for myself no one else. You also can buy the little pod cups and add your own type of coffee. It works for me not everybody. Thanks for your post.

I have the cheapest Hamilton Beach and like the coffee, but this is the second one. First one lasted three months until it sort of died. The one I have now is the same but I'm using paper filters too. But I'm keeping this as a possible replacement when this one goes belly up. I do like that the water seems to be much hotter with the Hamilton Beach than the other brands.

Mine never has to sit too long. Especially when its cold I do drink a lot but then I love coffee.

I've come a long way from Dad's perculator coffee which was navy strong. We used to say if you can see through it its too weak. Still follow that but have gotten more picky about the bitter factor.

I'll still drink that last cup which has sat too long and over warmed a bit and thickened up some. Navy coffee my dad would say.

You posted this in reply to my commenting that I've replaced my Keurig with a Bunn coffeemaker and I'm quite happy with the Bunn.

Thanks for the unsolicited advice, exclamation point and all.

But I'm fine with the coffeemaker I'm using now. If I want advice about coffee, I'll ask for it.
