I've never tried Whataburger. It appears to look dirty on the outside.

???? A location by you? None of the ones in Houston or any other city I've been are remotely dirty. They may not be the absolute best, but they are better to most Texans than MCD, Wendys, or BK. Bigger, fresher ingredients, onion rings, fresh made shakes, and I think that you can order your burgers in like 36,000 different combinations. Funny thing is when we go there, my whole family orders chicken sandwiches or strips, besides me. Jalapeno burger with onion rings all the way.

Nothing beats the Chophouse Cheddar Burger.

For the price point, In N Out serves a decent FAST FOOD CHAIN burger. Comparisons to restaurants burgers are also ridiculous, IMO, when those burgers are easily twice the cost of an In N Out burger. As well, those restaurants burgers are rarely available through convenient drive-thru's throughout the Houston area & suburbs.

But it is all really a matter of taste and opinion, isn't it? I think McDonald's, Carl's Jr & BK have disgusting burgers but they will always have their fans. So, too, will In N Out.

The good thing is that you have the choice not to eat at In N Out. Isn't that grand?
Culvers ftw!

The Whataburger Monterrey burger is pretty dang impressive. I rarely eat fast food burgers, but that one is damn tasty. The grilled peppers on it, make it.

I've had In N Out a few times while in California when I had to get something quick. I thought it was a pretty good fast food burger. Infinitely better that McDonalds, BK, Wendy's, etc.

I was told that Crystal is essentially White Castle, if this is true, than White Castle is an assault on my taste buds. I heard people going on and on about the Crystal on FM 1960, so I stopped in one day and got a six pack (or whatever the amount). After eating the first, I threw the rest away.

However, since I have a fast food burger about once a month, it isn't a big thing to me.

If I get a burger, I'm going to go somewhere like Speedy Burger for a Chorizo Burger.
