Thanks for clarifying that. He, and I, must have missed it on the instructions.

It doesn't make sense though. For example, my parents are on an extended trip outside of the country right now. They requested their absentee ballot before they left, to be sent to their home of course. (they live in Georgia). Where else would they have had it sent? Laos, where they would be on Election Day?

The county's form (produced entirely by Democrats... are Democrats suppressing the college vote?) is less clear, from what I can see. One can rarely go wrong presuming incompetence rather than skullduggery... This looks like breath-taking incompetence. Why bother making your own form when the state already has a better one they could use?!?!
Yes, this may be part of the confusion. I remember finding two different forms and being concerned I was giving him the wrong one.

Texas Election Code Section 84.002

I'm pretty sure the oil & gas industry has figured out how to get mail to their employees on drilling rigs/platforms. As to people out of the country, plan ahead, and find an address at which you can receive mail. What is the alternative? If you have it mailed to your address in the County, then what???

I watched her victory speech. She said she represents everyone that voted, not just those who voted for her. On the other hand I would not want to be Kim Ogg right now or any of her other political opponents. She showed a vindictive streak that I had never noticed before. Now I see how she got to where she is. Reminds me of something a colleague told me years ago about the leaders in our company, "you don't get to those levels of power without being ruthless." Dora the Explorer she is NOT!

I hope Abbott and his friends don’t view their victory as a mandate

Well, if the mail ballot arrives before I leave the county, I can fill it in and send it before I leave.

In my experience, oil companies don't normally send mail to people working offshore, and if they do forward mail, the address is going to be in Houston, if that's where the oil company is. When I worked overseas for an oil company, our mail would take several weeks to get there, and we had an address in Houston for our mail.

What about people on an extended trip, where they are camping at random places, or staying at whatever hotel has a room? They do not have an out of county address.

Abbott, Patrick, and Paxton will, for sure, take their wins as a mandate to keep doing what they are doing. What are the odds that Paxton continues to commit felonies, just because he can?

The Republicans, especially Paxton, are hypocrites. Rick Perry demanded that Rosemary Lehmberg, the Travis County DA, resign after her DUI, or he would kill funding for the accountability office she ran to prosecute state officials. Paxton should resign, but he won't.

Then you receive it, mail it in, and go on your trip. Why is this so hard to understand? It's only Texas that makes it so difficult.

I don’t see anybody in news media pointing out that Harris county had a blue wave
Now 3 of the 4 commissioners are democrats and republicans can’t boycott voting on the budget
