Roads are closing in Myrtle Beach due to flooding. Storm surge flooding streets in Garden City and coming up to homes.

High tide at 8pm and then add storm surge on top of that....

Cat 1 Hurricane moving "NORTHEAST". Running out of room to further strengthen...

If this thing stayed over the waters more it could of been Cat 2 at least. Land hit in next 12hrs I believe

Please take a nice video if you've got 5-10 foot waves crashing in Norwalk, that would be crazy to see! Funny I moved to FL from Norwalk last summer... this storm was just a little breeze here.

Multiple tornadoes have been occurring as rain bands come onshore this evening. Tornado Watch has been extended Northward and we will see this expand even further later tonight. Keep in mind many may be woken by cell phone alerts so get that sleep while you can! Tornado damage being reported on Bald Head Island.

New England is going to be a mess. 60mph gusts? Hope they're ready for power outages. Falling limbs and downed trees. I sure don't miss dealing with that anymore (used to live in ct). Bad enough in winter, but as the world gets warmer (oceans, really ) they are going to see more and more of this.

I bless living in Florida where power lines are under ground !

Wow, very strong winds trying to work their way towards ground level at a steady pace, gust around 100mph+ with the NE eyewall may be possible. Treat that area like a tornado warning as comes ashore! Looks like about to come into Oak Island, Bald Head Island, Holden Beach, and general nearby region.
