• retired w/out any government check for about 6 years now (and I am still only 52)

They are there because that is as far as they choose to get.
That is as hard as they want to work toward getting out of the rut!

IT'S SIMPLE:

To get out of that hole - you have to WORK on it.

Come on - you hear of people who work full time to support a family - then either work a second job or get more schooling.

This is the answer to getting out of that rut:

When you are done with your job - go out and find some work (not another job - but WORK!)

For goodness sakes - grab a mower and cut lawns or grab a bucket, hose, and rags and wash cars - or go clean homes - or babysit

JUST DO SOMETHING besides crying

Actually, many illegal aliens live in publicly funded housing. They most likely do so as parents of their US citizen children. Or, possibly as extended families of those who legally live in public housing, or they simply do so through deception, lying, cheating, ID theft, etc.

They are able to "obtain" public housing just like they "obtain" a SSN, a job, coming across the border illegally or whatever else they do illegally.

Totally beside the point. If you have such a loathing for low-wage earners, why do you want to bring millions more into this country?

Why don't you suggest the illegals do something about their situation? They too could stay in school but in their own countries (they have schools ya know) and they could get out and get a job in their own countries.

They could do something about their situation too. There is still no excuse for the cheap-labor elites to bring unlimited numbers of unskilled people into this country when the joblessness does not justify it.
