Default Moved! Yay!!!

Hi Peeps,
We are moved. Exhausted, but moved. Still need to unpack our UHAUL. People are very laid back here. Nobody has been rude to us in my book. I will wait and give you observations after a month like Davie did.

Congrats to you traypaul, after you're settled a bit, go out and enjoy the city a little, you deserve a break after all that hard work!

Enjoy!

Welcome!!! Be sure you're drinking lots of water to keep rehydrated from the unpacking workout! I tend to find people very laid back, but as soon as they get into their vehicles, it's like the world is coming to an end and they need to get somewhere asap! Just keep an eye out when driving, especially with out of state plates, seems like the drivers tend to be more aggressive with out of state drivers.

One question about NV plates. Are the black and white ones with the "Welcome To Las Vegas" sign on it, specialty plates? Are they extra cost? I kinda think so since I have seen them on very nice cars.

They are not just black and white, they have a bit of brownish-tan...they are the 2005 Las Vegas Centennial plates, with the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign depicted on the left...anyone with any kind of car can get them.

They are $15.00 extra when you register or re-register your car and want to keep the same plate. If you go on the NVDMV website there are lots of different style plates you can choose from.

I know some folks who pick their license plate design to match the color of their car

The standard plate issued is called "The Sunset" with blue sky, yellow and light orange sunset depicted. Those are the ones you get if you don't pay for the design plates.

I have one of them hanging on my garage wall (they're from the 80's), and the big horn sheep one as well (think that one was from the 90's), lol
