I had heard that the vaccine has sulfur in it and my mom and MIL are allergic to that. There are many meds out there that contain it.so what do you do if you want the vaccine but are allergic to it's ingredients?
Not trying to be pedantic, but I think you mean "sulfa." Sulfur is an element. Sulfa is a sulfonamide antibiotic. Allergic reactions to Sulfa drugs are considered relatively common.

That's ok I am already used to it with my husband. he's forever correcting people and I told him not everyone likes that.
I have been reading that one dose of Moderna vaccine is 80 % effective and that one dose of the Pfizer vaccine is 52 percent effective.
Does this mean that one dose of these vaccines reduces the risk of getting COVID to 20% or 48% respectively, or does that mean if you get infected, the severity of the case is reduced by 80% or 52% ?
I tried to read up on the answer, no luck .
I'm scheduled at the end of March. As expected, government running the process has been inefficient. This should have been farmed out to private pharmacies or logistics companies, not the overworked health departments. CVS or Walgreens have a lot of infrastructure in place that the state didn't and could have gotten this off the ground much faster. The scheduling also could have been improved; State should have had people register by phase and select which counties they would be willing to travel to for the vaccine and just assigned appointments instead of the constantly crashing website.
Its seriously been a total cluster fk getting the vaccine out. We cant do ANYTHING right. All we do is take sides, and fight. People need to start working together, and get past this.

But yet people want the government to take control of our healthcare.

The vaccine rollout is just proof the gov can't handle running a healthcare system. Ill keep my private insurance, Biden and co can take there Medicare for all and shove it str8 up there candy gl(asses). We need less gov not more.
