That may be true but could you tell the difference between a meal prepared by gas vs electric?
Considering that many American use toasters, air fryers, crock pots, insta pots and even rice cookers - cooking with electric is not new, nor does it take away from a great meal.
Actually yes I can tell the difference from a gas cooktop meal and an electric one. Stir Fry is not the same on electric.

If youve tried stir fry, you probably had great stir fry and decent stir fry, maybe even from the same restaurant or the same meal?
The electric stove wont change much, you just will have more decent stir fry...the timing and technique changes a touch. Except for maybe fried rice, you need the high heat to cook without burning the rice while keeping fluffy - easiet to make hardest to master.
This will go well when some major emergency happens and they cant use the schools as shelters because there is no electricity
I agree. And along that line, I just read an article in today's newspaper (yes, I still get one!!), describing what happened in Pakistan. Apparently they have an electric grid that's a little antiquated and shaky, so in an effort to conserve things, they are shutting off portions of the system at night.
Well, wouldn't you know it, they shut down a portion of the system, as usual, but this time, it wouldn't come back up. And secondly, it appears that in attempting to bring things back on line, they caused an overload situation, which took down even more of their system, which caused an outage that lasted several days.

My uncle's are master level chefs. So yes, I know the difference between stir fry and what the differences are. Electric won't change much. Masters know how their craft.

OK - so US vs a third world nations electricity grid equals comparable to you? Thats what you are drawing from Afghanistan. Do you realize, we don't have instability issues like other countries? It is not thing.

We might not be third world, but we are having issues with an aging grid, NIMBYism, and politicians.

Yeah.. thats why all Asian restaurants use electric to cook now.........
I know plenty of chefs who are "master" and I wouldn't eat a meal cooked by some of them.
FYI..... did you see any electric cooking on Iron Chef America?
