That does sound good! We'll be trying this. Thanks!

We lucked into the moose, bgnhfamily. It was given to us. We pass food back and forth with another family quite often. They show up with moose, we show up with shrimp. They show up with moose, we show up with vegetables. We're all convinced the other family is getting the better deal.

On the menu tonight is some home-made corn chowdah given to us by the lady that makes it for the church pre-Christmas festival every year! This stuff is thick with corn and potatoes and whatever else she puts in it...filling all by itself, but I love it with a dark-toasted muffin with melted cheese dripping off it! Carrot cake for dessert (burp!) but who needs dessert after such a feast? Ummmm....

MySpace.com - PIGMUFFIN BAND - GUILFORD, Maine - Blues / Funk / Rock - www.myspace.com/pigmuffinband

This link to the Pigmuffin band has a song (on the right hand side of their page) called Champagne of Maine. It is about Allens Coffee Brandy. My friends sister is in the band. Cute song. Allens has contacted them, had them come play at a banquet they were having and are currently trying to work out the legal terms of having this be their "company song".

Ok I'll put one in here too.

I was out getting parts for the tractor so I went nearby to the local store and found some ribeye steaks marked down to $4.99 ea.

So for dinner I grilled a couple ribeyes, my wife made a macaroni salad, she drinks milk, I had a Shipyard export ale in my frosty mug.

My supper tonight was 1/2 of a Sam's chocolate chip muffin, warmed for 15 seconds in the microwave (those things are huge) - followed by a handful of pistachios. That is pathetic.

Tonight some of my most favorite clients bought me a big steak and cheese bomb grinder. I stayed late to hang the last 6 shutters on their house in the rain. They are showing the house tomorrow to a potential buyer and wanted it to be perfect. My reward - dinner of course.

Nothing exciting tonight to eat. Just some roasted chicken, mashed potatoes (from scratch, naturally), steamed zucchini which was soggy, and salad-lettuce, tomato, cuke, onion. No dessert. I don't do dessert every day. About once a week.

That recipe for scalloped cabbage sounds delicious.
