Does the quote above work both ways?
That would be rude to phrase it like that but sure, some want to live among other affluent white families.

what's rude about it? The board gets plenty of inquiries from the Indian population where they want to live where there is a large Indian population. They are not interested in diversity. And it's not rude when they ask. So what's the difference? I live here I know where the diverse areas are. But if I was coming from elsewhere and did not know much about the state would it be rude to say I want to live where there is a large population of white people are - or to respond to another person who replied, I want to live where other affluent white live?

Because white is the overwhelming dominant baseline for MA. When posters request info on school/community diversity, they are not requesting a racial monopoly or an insular community.

With the number of 90%+ white districts, your proposed scenario is rather unnecessary.

It is true that the affluent towns in MA are basically all white. There are plenty of communities where there are large black populations but we don't exactly have affluent black communities anywhere. Not to say that there aren't affluent Black people in MA, they just aren't in one specific area.

"I want to live where there is a large population of white people" and "I want to live where affluent whites live" are not what you asked before. You are not going to have a problem finding affluent white areas.

What might make more sense is if someone was moving to Boston and not knowing much about the city asked where the affluent white areas are.

Or more like "what is an area of Boston where there are other affluent white people?". I wouldn't see anything wrong with that.

Of course not.

That is because you understand the difference between “discussion of race” and “racist discussion”. Some seemingly cannot differentiate.

IMO, it’s less necessary than someone who is black asking where other affluent blacks live. Why? Because if a town is 6-8% black/African American, there is typically very poor publicly available data as to whether that 6-8% is solidly middle class of not ... particularly if a given town has some socioeconomic diversity.

Meanwhile, the elite districts in the state are at least 60%+ white meaning one can assume there are white collar professionals who are white within that given community.

"If" they are familiar with the Boston area, I agree.

Yall really think Randolph is some ghetto.

I grew up in this general area:

Randolph isnt the best kept up, but in the late 50s to 70s it was one of the wealthiest towns in MA, so it keeps some of its good looks and charm. Its still a great place for Middle Class Black Families.
