The medium high to high end restaurants where bills (and tips) add up to a decent wage have no problem getting people. It's the low medium low to low end places (which also tend to have people tip low percentages on smaller bills) that can't get help. Understandably so.
I mean if you've been a waitstaff person into your 30's and finally decided you're too good for it and have no other skills/education then yes I'd call that a high horse. You better come down off of it until you get stable employment

Well, seems they have other stable employment, because they sure haven't been living on $1400 from March 2021 (aka roughly $70 a month) from the last stimulus check (aka your Biden money) like you thought.

I see amigo is doubling down on the $1400 leftie meme and conveniently omitting two years worth of more than the prior paycheck each month courtesy of taxpayers as well as two years worth of free rent.

I asked my chef relative and he said from what he can see on message boards he’s on, people who left went on to a variety of things. One guy got a job at the post office, another woman said she got an administrative role. A few went back to school for things like teaching and nursing and others went to corporate dining companies like Sodexo, so they’re working regular 9-5 hours at businesses or colleges with cafeterias. Oh, and I think there were a few who got into graphic design and IT who are tech savvy. It sounded like a mixed bag all in all.

Seems like people discovered they could financially do as well or better without all the stress of working nights and weekends in a restaurant.

Yes, it does. Of course some people really like serving people. I wouldn't be one of them!

Right, more power to them assuming they are getting their paycheck from their employer and not from taxpayer pockets. Now, leeches who milked enhanced unemployment for two years while not paying rent because politburo said it's optional, on the other hand, are an entirely different story...

So you’re claiming that in December 2022, there are millions of people on the dole not working? The Massachusetts unemployment rate is 3 1/2%. Your narrative doesn’t align at all with the data. Shocking.

The federal post office is looking for people. Full benefits, federal pension. If I needed a job, I'd consider it for sure.
