It’s a MN team, not a St Paul team. The rest of the state has to be included too. To be relevant, should we name them after Edina as it’s the best hockey program in the country? Minnesota Cakeaters or Minnesota Hornets

The reality (as has been pointed out) just about anything would have been better than "WILD".


As I have said...I think some day I'll come to terms with it....just not sure when...

A Loon, A Tick. Lunatic Minnesota would have been a good name for the hockey franchise.

And since they came into the NHL long before the MLS club started up, they could have been the Minnesota Loons, which would have been fitting.
